Error checking: Ignore specific *.py files

Mar 12, 2015 at 3:30 PM
In my solution I have a python file that is contains template variables. The templates are resolved at runtime using the python string so the file is littered with ${foo} template syntax.

In PTVS 2.1 and VS2012 the error checking and intellisense correctly complains about these files but this is a special exception; how can I disable the error checking for this specific file?

We don't currently support it, but we should let you change the build action from Compile to Content (select the file in Solution Explorer and hit F4 - the option shows up there). Otherwise, all you can do right now is change the file extension and use the plain editor.

I'll file an issue to support this, and some other issues I just discovered while trying it out.
