After installation, PTVS doesn't show up in VS 2013

Jul 20 at 5:01 AM
I'm using Visual Studio Pro. After I installed the 2.1 beta, it showed that the installation was successfully. However, in VS, there's no python tool in Tool menu. There are some templates for python when I try to create a python project, but it pops out a error saying that "The template specified cannot be found. Please check that the full path is correct".

Any help will be appreciated.

The very first thing to try is uninstall/reinstall PTVS. Installation of VS extensions can go wrong in many ways, unfortunately, and it sounds like this particular one got borked, but a reinstall might very well fix it.

I did that for several times and even restart my computer, but it doesn't help.

Can you try starting VS via the command line with the /log command line switch, and posting here any errors that appear in the log (or the complete log if you'd rather not spend time grepping for them)?

I checked the log and it appeared that my VS 2013 was broken. So I repaired VS and it works. Thank you for your help.
