Debug Exception For numpy import

Sep 25, 2013 at 3:10 PM
When I start debugging I get an exception thrown on the line "import numpy as np"
The exception message is "cannot import Complex256" as is thrown in the numpy file functor_base.py.
Strangely when I run the same import statement in the interactive console (Python 2.7 Interactive) everything works ok. For information I've got 32 bit CPython running on Windows 7.

If you ignore the exception and keep running, does everything work the expected? Or did exception terminate the program?

Actually if you continue it does as expected. This isn't something I tried so thanks!

Still it's quite annoying. Any idea what's causing it and how it can be fixed?

When it breaks, the dialog that appears should have the checkbox that says something like "Break when this exception type is thrown". If this is checked, then it is expected behavior (you can set and reset those checkboxes for exceptions in advance in Debug -> Exceptions).

If it is unchecked, but you still see the exception, that would indicate a bug.

OK thanks this now works without a break.
