Getting Python Interpreter to use the activated VirtualEnv

May 1, 2013 at 1:58 PM
I'm using Python Tools for Visual Studio 2012 v2 alpha. I've added and activated a Virtual Environment. If I then open the 'Python 2.7 Interactive' window and check the Python that's running, I get the following:
>>> import sys
>>> sys.executable
What I'd like to see is the following:
>>> import sys
>>> sys.executable
i.e. I'd like it to use the activated Python virtualenv instead. But it doesn't. Should it? If not, is there any chance this will become a feature?

It doesn't right now, but we've got quite a bit of work to do on our virtualenv support. I'll make a work item for this and we'll see if we can get it in.
