Hello,
I'm trying to install python tools for VS and its telling me it is "not installed" when I try to install it.
I am using a registered version of VS express 12 for windows 8.
edit: sorry, realized it's not express compatible.

as you figured out, Express editions are not plugable. so PTVS cannot be added to them. but fear not, in the installation section you'll find instructions on how to use the integrated+isolated shells + PTVS plugin to build your very own, free, VS Express 2012 Python package. essentially "3" clicks instead of 1.
