Python Tools for visual studio support for embedded Python?

I am very excited about Python tools, but my problem is that I will be using an embedded python. Is there any way I can use that interpreter instead of the official release?

I want to use the abaqus interpreter.

Does abaqus have an EXE which can be launched to run the Python scripts?  If so you can manually configure a new interpreter in tools->Options->Python Tools->Interpreters.  Otherwise you should be able to use Attach to Process to attach to the already running interpreter and start debugging code in it.

None of those options worked.

They have their own debugger, it is called Abaqus PDE, which uses sockets to connect to python. It sucks!

The abaqus python interpreter does not like to be called from another program.
