no auto completion for numpy

Apr 15, 2012 at 9:05 AM

I use vs2010 and have installed the latest version for pytools.

My python version is 3.2 and I find under pytools there is no completion or function suggestion for numpy. (I know there are some for built-in, like sys).

What can I do?

You can go to Tools->Options->Python Tools->Interpreter Options and select the 3.2 interpreter in "Show settings for".  Then click "Generate completion database" and it'll re-analzye all of the packages installed in the interpreter and should pick up numpy after that.

Completions on numpy won't be that great because of all of the built-in functions that we cannot analyze but you should at least be able to get completions for top-level members.
