Route "-i" Interpreter Argument into VS Python Console

Dec 3, 2011 at 2:09 PM

I would like to debug the output of my scripts within Visual Studio. When I add -i to the Project Settings - Debug - Interpreter Arguments a -i a new cmd console pops up with python and the results of the scripts running. Can this be routed into the VS Python Interactive Console instead ?

Have you tried Debug->Execute Project in Python Interactive?

Thx Joxn, I did right now, this might be what I was searching for, but I have one issue. My Script requires another file ( its a fileconverter ) to work on. I added the path to a testfile into Projectsettings - Debug - Interpreter Arguments. This works for "normal" release/debug execution, but not with your suggestion. My script issues the expected error message when no filename is passed into Python Interactive. Any suggestions how to fix this ?

Exact same problem here:
When launching the project or the file through Python Interactive, the command-line argments specified in the project are not taken into account.
