Distributable exe

Is there a simple way to build an exe for quick distribution to systems lacking IronPython?

Not really...  You can use the pyc.py script which ships w/ IronPython to compile .py files to .dll with an EXE but you'll need to include IronPython in the distribution.  That is as simple as xcopy deploying it's binaries (IronPython.dll, IronPython.Modules.dll, Microsoft.Scripting.dll, and Microsoft.Dynamic.dll) w/ the compiled code though.

How about building an IronPython project into a .NET assembly? If this requires using pyc.py too, how to modify the ".pyproj" generated/used by Python Tools so that it still works from within Visual Studio? And will I be able to use the debugger?
